چکیده

Herein, our attention is focused on the second-order optical properties of thermally poled sodo-niobate amorphous thin films through an original methodology that combines both macroscopic and microscopic second harmonic generation techniques. By probing geometry magnitude nonlinear (SONL) response at different scales, a key aspect film's poling mechanisms compared with bulk glasses demonstrated lies in appearance charge accumulation film/substrate interface described by Maxwell–Wagner effect. A way to minimize this effect then proven promoting induced built-in static field plane film using microstructured electrode. SONL susceptibility as high 29 pm V?1 measured its location are controlled micrometer scale; it constitutes improvement least one order other inorganic materials comparable lithium niobate single crystal.

Optical response of thin amorphous films to infrared radiation

We briefly review the electrical-optical response of materials to radiative forcing within the formalism of the Kramers-Kronig relations. A commensurate set of criteria is described that must be met by any frequency-domain model representing the time-domain response of a real (i.e., physically possible) material. The criteria are applied to the Brendel-Bormann (BB) oscillator, a model that was ...

Optical properties of amorphous C/diamond thin films

Amorphous C/diamond films have been prepared by rf plasma enhanced vapor deposition from a CHdAr gas mixture. Infrared and optical-ultraviolet absorption characteristics are reported and used to characterize the bonding and optical properties of these films. It has been found that the optical band gap is not related to the hydrogen content in the films and varies according to the dc self bias d...

Optical response of Cu3Ge thin films

We report an investigation on the optical properties of Cu3Ge thin films displaying very high conductivity, with thickness ranging from 200 to 2000 Å, deposited on Ge substrates. Reflectance, transmittance, and ellipsometric spectroscopy measurements were performed at room temperature in the 0.01–6.0, 0.01–0.6, and 1.4–5.0 eV energy range, respectively. The complex dielectric function, the opti...
